Carlisle All-Ford Nationals 2008
June 6-8, 2008 / Carlisle, PA
Year in, and year out, the Carlisle All-Ford Nationals demonstrates the strength of the Blue Oval. Everything Ford, Lincoln and Mercury, the 18th annual All-Ford Nationals assembled one of the largest groupings of Ford vehicles in the country. Highlights included an SVT 15th Anniversary Reunion, celebrating a decade-and-a-half of SVT-badged high-performance Fords, an impressive Cobra Jet 40th Anniversary Reunion, featuring a host of Cobra Jet powered vintage and historical Ford and Mercury vehicles, a special display honoring the 50th Anniversary of all 1958 Ford and Lincoln-Mercury makes and models, and the Ford Drive One experience at the Carlisle Expo center, featuring various concept vehicles, including the GT500KR, the Shelby GR-1, and KITT.
Special guest appearances included Jon Runyan, veteran Pro Bowl Tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles and Built Ford Tough spokesperson, car customizer Funkmaster Flex, Ford VIP's, SVT Engineers, and Ford drag racers Al Joniec, Hubert Platt, and Sam Auxier Jr, among others. On top of all this, Carlisle provided a Manufacturers Midway, swap meet vendors, beauty contest, burnout contest, rock crawling, Dyno tuning, and for the first time, a Mechanical Bull.
